PS I've tried everything I could find on Steam forums and whatnot that you get from a quick Google search. Expansive environments, ambitious and non-linear storyline, varied gameplay, and great replayability. 40 Game of the year awards, 'Excellence in Game Design', and 'Game Innovation Spotlight' at the 2000 Game Developers Choice Awards. I just want the screen tearing to go away lol. Then check out our Mod Spotlight for Deus Ex GOTY Edition. I'd like to use Direct3D or Direct3D 10 purely because OpenGL looks like shit frankly. Obviously the Windows update I did fucked with Direct3D in some way so if anyone has a download link for whatever version of the Direct3D driver or whatever comes with Windows 10 Professional, that would probably solve my issue. Every renderer including Direct3D 10, every FPS cap you can think of (even capping the FPS to 20 doesn't stop the tearing). Annoyingly, it's STILL the only renderer that DOESN'T screen tear! Shame it's borderline unplayable due to the darkness.Īny help would be greatly appreciated. It was a fresh install of Windows 10, so I updated it overnight and tonight go to play Deus Ex and guess what? Deus Ex is totally fucked, all the problems I remember having with it back in the day, brightness cannot be adjusted, weird render issues etc. I used Direct3D (not Direct 3D 10, just normal Direct 3D and it worked flawlessly, no weird render issues or inability to adjust brightness), capped the FPS to 60 and it was golden. After a little while messing around last night, I managed to completely stop the screen tearing. Even so, I had some awful screen tearing issues with it. I've always used OpenGL, so that's what I've been using. The other day I bought a pretty meager PC (AMD 770, X4 845, 10gb RAM) purely to play the small handful of older games I like on, mainly Morrowind, Fallout 1-NV and Deus Ex.īefore I even opened Deus Ex GOTY (gog copy), I installed Kenties Deus EXE launcher as I have done with every fresh install of Deus Ex since I can remember.
